Sunny is the Director, Sub Saharan Africa, for Monty’s Plant Food Company, USA, and President/Director of innovation and growth of Charis Lifescience Ltd in Nigeria. He is a trained Pharmacist, Biotech, and International Crop Nutrition and protection expert who holds an Advanced Management certificate with a specialization in Agribusiness Management from the prestigious Lagos Business School, Lagos. Sunny has attended several world-class senior-level training and development programs at the MaSE Academy of Syngenta Agro AG in Basel in Switzerland, along with other training including Kenya, Zambia, Ghana, South Africa, and Europe.
Sunny is a member of CropLife Nigeria, Nigerian Agribusiness Group (NABG), Nigerian Economic Summit Group, Agribusiness (Input and Distribution) thematic Lead (NESG), Industry expert, and visiting facilitator to the Lagos Business School (LBS) Nigeria.
Jeff Sangalli
Chief Executive Officer, Monty's Plant Food Co.
As Chief Executive Office for Monty’s Plant Food Co. Jeff is responsible for the overall vision, strategy, and direction of Monty’s. Jeff’s prolific 25-year career encompasses various leadership roles, including strategic planning and innovation in R&D, product planning and development, worldwide supply/demand planning and fulfillment, and manufacturing and operations management at such companies as Monty's, Lexmark International, and Ford Motor Company. In addition, Jeff holds five U.S. patents.
Jeff’s education includes: M.B.A., Xavier University (Williams College of Business & Administration), Cincinnati, OH; M.Eng., Engineering, University of Louisville (Speed Scientific School), Louisville, KY; and B.S.E.S., University of Louisville (Speed Scientific School), Louisville, KY.
Marcel Barbier
International Chief Technical Lead
Dr. Barbier is a soil-plant scientist with 20+ years of experience in the development, enhancement, and marketing of products for conventional and organic markets. He has a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, a Master's Degree in Crop Protection in International Commerce, and a Doctorate in Soil and Plant Science, with a minor in Plant Health Management. Dr. Barbier has experience working with vegetables, row crops, orchards, and tropical crops. He has worked for multinational companies such as Chiquita, Monsanto, Bayer, Syngenta, Stockton, and Rio Tinto (US Borax). In 2010 Dr. Barbier founded a consultancy company that is focused on helping companies develop and launch products.
Since early 2020, Dr. Barbier has been serving Monty’s Plant Food as International Chief Technical Lead, focusing on assessing products and teaching farmers about the benefits of Monty’s Activated Humic substances and how these products improve soil health and nutrient stabilization... therefore increasing crop yield and quality.
